Continuous-Control-Set Model Predictive Current Control of Asymmetrical Six- Phase Drives Considering System Nonidealities

چکیده

Finite-control-set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) of multiphase ( n -phase, is assumed to be an odd number for simplicity) drives challenging because the large actual/virtual voltage vectors and need current in -1)/2 sub-spaces (or planes; multi-plane control). Any sub-optimal design (poor or no some planes) may result high individual plane ripples, due low reactance. This work therefore investigates continuous-control-set (CCS) MPC constant switching frequency motor as another alternative. The high-bandwidth CCS-MPC designed accurately account system non-idealities, namely digital pulse width modulation delays, inverter dead time, measurement noise. It will shown that has advantages full vector space access, regular characteristic, improved cycle-by-cycle tracking control, while maintaining known FCS-MPC, e.g., intuitive cost function design, model-based fast dynamics. proposed scheme benchmarked experimentally against classical, proportional-integral-based, field-oriented conjunction with asymmetrical six-phase induction drive.

Predictive-space vector PWM current control method for asymmetrical dual three-phase induction motor drives

The interest in multiphase drives has re-emerged in the last decade, being the asymmetrical dual threephase induction motor drive one of the most popular options. Predictive control techniques, already implemented in three-phase drives, have been recently adapted to the multiphase case. Schemes proposed so far have demonstrated high performance at the expenses of a higher degree of computationa...

Sensorless Motor Drives with Predictive Current Control

Hardware complexity of a motor drive can be reduced by estimating controls rather than measuring using sensors. In this way the corresponding sensors are eliminated and the system becomes more robust. This article is about speed control of a sensor less induction motor with predictive current controller technique. This particular speed control technique does not require direct measurements of m...

Model Predictive Control of Distributed Energy Resources with Predictive Set-Points for Grid-Connected Operation

This paper proposes an MPC - based (model predictive control) scheme to control active and reactive powers of DERs (distributed energy resources) in a grid - connected mode (either through a bus with its associated loads as a PCC (point of common coupling) or an MG (micro - grid)). DER may be a DG (distributed generation) or an ESS (energy storage system). In the proposed scheme, the set - poin...

Model Based Predictive Current Control of an Asynchronous Six-phase Motor Drive

A new method for current control of multiphase drives is presented. The proposed control method is based on a model based predictive controller which minimises a predefined function cost. A voltage vector to minimise the current error is selected. A discrete-time model of the drive is also used to generate the control signals. Simulation and experimental results are provided. These preliminary ...
